While clipping LO's nails before school, I fumbled through an abridged, PC version of the origins of Thanksgiving. When I was finished with both, I asked LO if he wanted to say something he was thankful for. "I'll start," I said. "I'm thankful for you."

He turned his head to me and smiled. "Really?"

"Yes! Now, your turn."

"I'm thankful," he said, "for you... cutting my nails."
