"Momma?"
"Yes?"
"If a blue-footed booby chick dies, its parents won't mate again for a year." (I believe this is true.)
"Hm."
"If a blue-footed booby chick has no bones, its parents won't mate again for a year." (This one, I'm dubious about.)
"OK, honey. Good night."

Wow, you weren't kidding about that Galapagos Island show he watches. And from what I read (yes, I had to look it up because I'd never heard of that bird before), he's probably right. According to Wikipedia, they only mate every 9 months or so. If one of the babies is born without bones, it will die. The parents won't mate again until their scheduled time - close to a year from the last time they mated. Interesting how he absorbs such detail! I would really like whatever show that is!
Clarification: Everything after the sentence about Wikipedia is my own conclusion based on the information provided. The example about a boneless baby was not in Wikipedia. But KFC might be interested in that boneless baby.
I love him. :-)
