Tuscan Rooster
oil pastelWell, this one is another oldie from a couple of years ago. But... I'll admit I'm kind of partial to it, so I'm glad I have the opportunity to share it with you! The original one is maybe twice the size of this one, so it's not that big. I have it hanging on my kitchen wall. I haven't done very much pastel work, before or since.
If I come up with a new "Farm" idea, I will edit this post to show it.

i can't think of a better representation of "farm" than the rooster. Such nice use of color. Very impressionistic. Loved the appearance of sunrise in background.

Oh he's great! This makes me want to look up images of fancy roosters. (because we've thought about getting some) And, dig out my oil pastels too! I'd probably create something silly and won't be able to show it to anyone.
